Since 18 May 2026 all African nationals with a valid passport can enter Togo without a visa for up to 30 days, by land, air or sea. The condition is an online immigration form (bordereau d'immigration) at voyage.gouv.tg, completed at least 24 hours before arrival. Visa on arrival is currently suspended. Non-African nationals who need a visa still apply for an e-Visa on the same platform.

The government portal and the reporting do not state a cost for the immigration form. e-Visa fees for non-African nationalities not established.
You can't get it on arrival. It has to be sorted before you fly.
Good to know
UPDATED 19 SEPTEMBER 2026. Earlier versions of this entry said non-ECOWAS Africans needed a mandatory e-Visa; that stopped being true on 18 May 2026. Read the headline carefully: it is visa-free, but not 'nothing to do before you fly'. The immigration form is a compulsory pre-travel step, which is why this stays listed as an operating scheme. Confirmed on the government's own portal (voyage.gouv.tg).
