Ria's Colony
A wide view over an African landscape at golden hour
For Destinations & Hospitality

Aerial View partnerships & prices

People rarely fall in love with a place because of a brochure. They choose places whose stories they understand.

For tourism boards, government ministries, hospitality brands and event organisers. We tell a destination's story with depth rather than exaggeration, to an audience that already trusts how we describe places.

Partnerships

What we offer

Seven ways to work with Aerial View, from a single commissioned guide to a flagship, multi-year retainer.

Destination Promotion Contracts

3 options

The anchor relationship. An annual or multi-year retainer with a tourism board, ministry or destination authority covering content, promotion and audience access. Contracts are scoped per destination and invoiced monthly or quarterly.

Foundation

$2,500/mo · $30,000/yr

One full country guide produced and maintained. Twelve editorial features. Monthly social distribution across all Ria's Colony channels. Quarterly performance report. Named destination partner status.

Growth

$4,500/mo · $54,000/yr

Everything in Foundation, plus two city deep dives, one photography production per year, one co-branded Aerial Escape cohort, a presence at the Skyline Women's Summit and a trade and media familiarisation visit.

Flagship

$7,500/mo · $90,000/yr

Everything in Growth, plus one destination film, four city deep dives, two co-branded Escape cohorts, headline positioning at the Summit, a dedicated landing hub and quarterly strategy sessions with the destination team.

Terms. Minimum term is twelve months. A second year signed before the first ends carries a 10% loyalty reduction. Multi-year contracts of three years are priced at ten months per year. Production travel within the destination is hosted by the partner or billed at cost.

Country Guide Commissions

5 options

For a destination that wants the guide without the full retainer. The guide is produced to the same standard, published on Aerial View and credited to the partner. Editorial independence is retained — we say what is true about a place, including the parts that are inconvenient.

Full Country Guide

$6,500

Research, in-country trip, writing, photography selection, design and publication. Covers culture, food, history, safety, transport, visa, etiquette and local detail.

City Deep Dive

$2,400

Neighbourhood-level guide for a single city, produced to the same standard.

Solo Women's Guide

$1,900

A dedicated solo women's layer for the destination, researched on the ground.

Annual Refresh

$1,800/yr

Yearly update of a published guide. Prices, transport, visa position, new openings.

Translation

$1,200

Full guide translated and culturally adapted. Per language.

Destination Storytelling

6 options

Photography, films, articles and campaigns that help destinations tell richer stories to the people most likely to visit, invest and return. Photography of Africa shows people at work, at home and in ordinary life — no golden-hour silhouettes, no wildlife as shorthand for a country, no market stalls used as texture.

Photography Library

$9,500

Two to three shooting days in destination. 150 edited images delivered with a two-year licence for partner use.

Short Destination Film

$15,000

Two to three minutes. Concept, script, shoot, edit, sound and one round of revision. Delivered in landscape and vertical.

Documentary Short

$20,000

Eight to twelve minutes. Full narrative production with in-country interviews, delivered with a trailer and three social cutdowns.

Editorial Series

$3,500

Five original long-form articles published on Aerial View and syndicated across Ria's Colony channels.

Social Campaign

$2,800

One month of destination-led content across LinkedIn, X, TikTok and Facebook. Twelve posts, produced and scheduled.

Launch Campaign

$30,000

A full destination launch. Guide, photography, one short film, editorial series and a two-month distribution plan.

Licensing. Partners receive a two-year non-exclusive licence for owned and paid channels. Perpetual licence is 40% of the production fee. Exclusivity, where we agree to it, is 60%. Aerial View retains the right to publish the work on its own platforms and to credit the partner.

Co-branded Aerial Escapes

3 options

A curated cohort built with a destination sponsor. The destination underwrites part of the cohort cost in exchange for named partnership, content rights and a group of travellers who arrive already understanding the place.

Supported Cohort

Destination underwrites ground costs for up to 20 travellers. Receives named partnership, a full content set from the trip and the traveller feedback report.

Fully Hosted Cohort

Destination hosts accommodation, transport and experiences. Receives all of the above plus a short film and a dedicated editorial series.

Trade & Media Familiarisation

A six to ten person trip for media and trade partners, designed and run by Aerial View on the destination's behalf.

Skyline Women's Summit Partnerships

5 options

The annual flagship gathering of women across Africa and the diaspora, hosted in a different city each year. Sponsorship and hosting packages for destinations and brands.

Host Destination

The Summit is hosted in your city. Naming in all Summit communications, the opening address, the full cultural programme built around the destination, and post-event content.

Headline Sponsor

Naming alongside the Summit, a keynote slot, the main stage brand presence, delegate list access with consent and a full content set.

Partner Sponsor

A panel or session, brand presence throughout, delegate materials inclusion and a content set.

Supporting Sponsor

Brand presence, delegate materials inclusion, four delegate passes.

Exhibitor

An exhibition space for the duration, two delegate passes.

Hospitality & Accommodation Partnerships

4 options

For boutique hotels, eco-lodges and hospitality groups across Rwanda, Kenya, South Australia, Seychelles and Mauritius. We do not list a property we would not send a member to.

Booking Partnership

10–15% commission / booking

Your property is bookable through Aerial View and recommended inside guides and itineraries where it genuinely fits.

Featured Property

$1,200/yr

A written property profile inside the relevant country guide, a photography set and inclusion in the Wings recommendation list.

Escape Accommodation Partner

Negotiated per cohort

Your property hosts an Aerial Escape cohort. Rates negotiated per cohort against a guaranteed minimum group size.

Property Storytelling

From $3,200

A short film or photography set produced for the property, licensed for two years.

Event Organiser Partnerships

3 options

For conference producers, festival organisers and cultural event teams who want the Aerial View audience in the room.

Ticket Distribution

8–12% revenue share

Your event is promoted to the Aerial View and Wings audience and sold through our channels.

Event Escape Partnership

Group allocation + 8–12%

We build an Aerial Escape around your event and bring a cohort of up to 20 delegates.

Delegation Management

Fee + 12% of trip value

We manage a delegation attending your event: travel, accommodation, briefing and on-site coordination.

Prices are in US dollars, published starting positions rather than quotes, and exclude local taxes, withholding and international transfer charges. Where a service is priced as a range, the final figure depends on scope, market and timeline and is confirmed in writing before any work starts.

How we work

For destination partners

1

Conversation

We learn what the destination is actually trying to change. Arrivals, length of stay, seasonality, a specific source market, or a perception problem.

2

Proposal

A scoped proposal within ten working days. It states what we will produce, what it costs and what we will not promise.

3

Production

Research trip, guide, photography and film. The first published asset is usually live within eight weeks of signature.

4

Distribution

Content runs across Aerial View and the Ria's Colony channels under the [AERIAL VIEW] label, always in Deep Teal.

5

Reporting

A quarterly report covering reach, engagement, guide readership, Escape conversion and audience geography. Honest numbers, including the flat ones.

Good to know

Destination retainers

Monthly or quarterly in advance. Twelve month minimum term.

Production work

50% on signature, 50% on delivery. Productions above $15,000 may be staged across three payments.

Cancelling a retainer

60 days written notice. Work already produced is invoiced in full.

Editorial independence

We say what is true about a place, including the parts that are inconvenient.

What we do not do

We are not a destination marketing agency.

We work with tourism boards and governments, but we are a media and experiences company that happens to have institutional reach. We do not buy media on a client's behalf.

We do not sell Africa as an exotic experience.

It is home, history and roots. We present it exactly that way, and we will decline a brief that asks for anything else.

We do not exaggerate a destination.

If a place has a rainy season, a visa problem or a safety consideration, the guide says so. That honesty is why the audience trusts the recommendation.

We do not run cohorts above 20 people.

The cap is the product.

We do not handle visa submissions, legal filings or insurance underwriting.

We prepare travellers for them and point them to people who do.

We are not in a hurry to be big.

We would rather run five destination partnerships properly than fifty that produce a folder of assets nobody uses.

Why now

74M

International visitors to Africa in 2024, up 12% year on year

82%

Of all global travel decisions are made by women

The question is no longer whether people are looking. It is which destinations they choose. We are not an advertising agency — we are a media and experiences company with an audience that already trusts how we describe places.
