Mandatory eVisa for most African nationalities
DR Congo publishes a list of 44 African countries whose citizens are eligible for its eVisa, valid 90 days from issue. Citizens of DR Congo origin, and a handful of nationalities with unratified exemption agreements (e.g. Uganda, Chad), have separate arrangements; most other African nationalities use the standard eVisa route or a visa on arrival for specific documented cases (DR Congo origin, parental origin, or no local embassy).
It's required for the 44 listed African nationalities and other non-exempt nationalities.

April 2025 saw the exemption for Zimbabwean transport drivers abolished, illustrating how narrow and changeable DR Congo's exemptions can be even within SADC/ECCAS.
