Apply online and wait for approval before you travel. Since 1 September 2025 this applies to everyone, including children.

Good to know

Somalia's government has said every foreign visitor needs the online approval, so check with your airline before relying on getting a visa at the airport. Going to Somaliland in the north? It has its own separate visa rules.
