Applied to nationals of eight countries who normally enter visa-free, for the duration of the Africa Cup of Nations.
It's required for nationals of eight visa-free countries, during the tournament period.
Good to know
Ran roughly September 2025 to January 2026 for AFCON. The first African example of a temporary, event-driven authorisation imposed on visa-free travellers, a template worth watching for future tournaments.
