Three tiers. Around 13 African nationalities, reported to include Tanzania, Tunisia, Senegal, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Madagascar and Burkina Faso, can obtain a visa on arrival. A wider group including Nigeria, South Africa, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Namibia and Cameroon must use the eVisa, applied for online. Remaining African nationalities must apply at an embassy.
It's required for african nationalities in the eVisa tier and those requiring an embassy application.
The fee is USD 25.
You can also get it on arrival.
Nationals of several countries, reported to include Ethiopia, Mali and Niger, must obtain security clearance before a visa is issued.
Good to know
Reporting indicates the eVisa must be applied for at least a week before departure. Egypt also operates a separate resort-only entry stamp, which reporting says excludes most African nationalities.
