Apply in person at an Algerian embassy or consulate. You will usually need a hotel booking, or a letter from someone in Algeria inviting you.
Morocco: Moroccan citizens need a visa from an Algerian embassy. This also applies if you hold Moroccan citizenship alongside another one.

Good to know

If you book a tour of Algeria's southern desert regions (such as Tamanrasset, Djanet or Ghardaïa) through a travel agency that the Algerian government has approved, you can get your visa when you land instead of going to an embassy. The agency arranges it for you. This does not apply to citizens of Somalia or Sudan.
